Flunkyball, Hoosierball, or Bierball is a team game of ~3-5 individuals whose objective is to hit a bottle in the middle of the court and finish their drink without spilling it on themselves. A game traditionally played in Formula Student campsites all over the world, Flunkyball has simple rules for good, competitive play between teams. Please review the rules below from KA-Raceing; be aware that two root vegetables taped together with duct tape may be used instead of a tire.
A note: non-alcoholic drinks are welcomed and encouraged, and nothing stronger than an average beer should be consumed while playing. Players must be 21+ to drink alcohol during the tournament.
The objective of Flunkyball is to eliminate your own team by finishing your drinks. You get the opportunity to drink your beverage after hitting the bottle in the middle of the field with our chosen projectile. The other team's objective is to set the bottle back up and return to their line as quickly as possible.
Drinks are proven empty by holding them up and, when prompted by the referee, turned upside down over the players head. Drips perceived by the referee will require the player to get a new beverage. No drips? The player is out until the round is over.
Tournament signups will occur prior to the event and on-site. We will take approximately 8 teams each night for the tournament in a bracketed style of play. Winners will get.... something. Prize recommendations can be sent to info@pittsburghshootout.com.
