Adopt A Fence at the 2026 Shootout

Are you a parent eager to cheer on little Billy in his race? A professor looking to distribute homework to students hundreds of miles away? A secret admirer of the Formula team captain? Or perhaps a small business hoping to fuel hungry students after a day of racing? Whoever you are, you can send them a message!

Let's face it, the bike fencing we use for crowd control doesn't come cheap. It's crucial for the Pittsburgh Shootout that we have enough fencing to ensure the safety of students and spectators, keeping them separated from dynamic racing areas and hazardous zones like the High Voltage inspection and storage areas. That's why we're turning to the community for support.

While sponsoring the event might be beyond reach for many, a small donation of just $20 can cover one 7ft section of bike fence. Your message, written by you at checkout, will be printed on a 8.5x11 sheet of paper and attached to the fence you've adopted. Whether it's words of encouragement or a fun drawing (let's keep it PG!), we welcome it all! Our goal is to raise half the cost of the fencing, totaling $750. With your help, we can reach this goal and send positive messages to our student competitors. Join us in making this event safe!

Sponsorship of the Pittsburgh Shootout 501c3 public charity may be tax deductible under IRC Section 170, and the organization is eligible to receive tax deductible bequests, devises, transfers or gifts under Section 2055, 2106, or 2522.
